St Quentin Avenue, Claremont is not just our address, it is part of who we are.

For more than four decades, we have watched this street evolve from a quiet local precinct into one of Claremont's most recognised destinations. As the street has grown, so too have we, remaining a constant presence within the community.

The building at number 24 was brand new when we opened our doors in 1983. We were its very first tenants, surrounded by a small collection of boutiques and local businesses, at a time when Claremont was only just beginning to transform.

More than forty years later, our connection to Claremont remains as strong as ever. Many of the families who first visited us decades ago now return with children and grandchildren, continuing a tradition built on trust, craftsmanship and personal service.

A European Foundation

At the heart of Brinkhaus is the vision of our founder, Doris Brinkhaus.

Trained in Germany and refined through years of experience in Canada, Doris brought a distinctly European approach to jewellery making, one centred on precision, artistry and personal service.

Today, Doris works alongside her son Karl Brinkhaus, a jeweller, gemmologist and diamond grader. Together, they continue the Brinkhaus tradition, combining generations of expertise with an appreciation for contemporary design.

Our onsite workshop allows us to offer something increasingly rare. Every custom piece, remodel, repair and restoration is completed by experienced jewellers under one roof, giving us complete control over every stage of the process.

Here, our master jewellers bring decades of experience to each piece, allowing us to offer a complete range of services including custom design, remodelling, repairs and professional rhodium plating.
From platinum to 18ct white, yellow and rose gold, every material is carefully selected and every detail thoughtfully considered.
