St Quentin Avenue is not just our address, it is part of who we are.

For more than four decades, we have watched this street evolve from a quiet local precinct into one of Claremont’s most recognised destinations. As the street has grown, so too have we, remaining a constant presence within the community.

The building at number 24 was brand new when we opened our doors in 1983. We were its very first tenants, surrounded by a small collection of boutiques and local businesses, at a time when Claremont was only just beginning to transform.

What began then has become a lasting connection to place, people and story.
 
A European Foundation
At the heart of Brinkhaus is the vision of our founder, Doris Brinkhaus.

Trained in Germany and refined through years of experience in Canada, Doris brought a distinctly European approach to jewellery making, one centred on precision, artistry and personal service.

Today, Doris works alongside her son Karl Brinkhaus, a jeweller, gemmologist and diamond grader. Together, they continue to shape the direction of Brinkhaus, combining tradition with a deep understanding of modern design and craftsmanship.
Jewellery is not simply something we create, but something we become part of, marking moments of love, celebration and memory.

Our onsite workshop remains the centre of everything we do.

Here, our master jewellers bring decades of experience to each piece, allowing us to offer a complete range of services including custom design, remodelling, repairs and professional rhodium plating.

We work with platinum, 18ct white, yellow and rose gold, sourcing only the finest materials to ensure every piece meets our exacting standards.

Whether restoring a treasured heirloom or creating something entirely new, each piece is handled with care, precision and intention.
