There is literally a world of beautiful coloured stones out there, ranging from pinks and yellows through to blues and greens.
There is a coloured stone to suit every occasion and taste.
In terms of green stones, emerald is often the most popular choice. There is something so striking about this vivid green stone, however there is another green stone that rivals the vibrancy and intensity of an emerald.
That stone is the tsavorite.
Tsavorite (also known as tsavolite), is a radiant green variety of grossular garnet. It offers a brighter green than that of the emerald and is often faceted to showcase its brilliance.
Tsavorite was discovered in Tanzania in 1967 and marketed by Tiffany & Co. in the 1970s. It was named after Tsavo East National Park in Kenya.
Tsavorite jewellery makes a wonderful gift for someone who is a lover of green and likes something a little bit different.
Tsavorite rings also make good alternative engagement rings. Tsavorite does not require protective settings, has great dispersion, brilliance and hardness to rival a diamond.
Chat to us about your dream tsavorite jewellery piece and we can sketch out some ideas and show you a selection of loose tsavorites on hand. We can also source your very own special tsavorite.
We have a lovely range of tsavorite jewellery for sale online and in- store.
