3D Jewellery Printing

3D Jewellery Printing

3D jewellery printing is a technology that uses 3D printing techniques to create intricate and detailed jewellery designs. This technology involves using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create a digital model of the jewellery design, which is then printed using a 3D printer.

The process typically involves using a high-resolution 3D printer to print the design in wax or resin. The printed model is then used to create a mould for the final product, which can be made from a variety of materials, including precious metals like gold and silver, as well as other materials like ceramics and plastics.

One of the main advantages of 3D jewellery printing is the ability to create complex and intricate designs that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional jewellery-making techniques. Additionally, the technology allows for greater customisation and flexibility in the design process, as designs can be easily modified and updated in the digital model.

However, there are also some challenges to 3D jewellery printing, such as the need for specialised equipment and expertise, as well as the limitations of the materials that can be used in the printing process. Additionally, the cost of 3D printing equipment and materials can be a barrier for smaller jewellery makers or individuals looking to create custom pieces.

At Brinkhaus Jewellers, we have been designing and creating custom made jewellery for our valued clients for 40 years.

We specialise in creating custom made engagement rings and wedding bands, as well as custom made statement jewellery.

Designing and creating a custom made piece of jewellery is an exciting process and understanding our clients’ wishes is our top priority.

When we meet with clients to create a custom made piece, we work together to create sketches and a CAD design and then provide a quote.

However, we understand it can sometimes be difficult to visualise how your custom made jewellery piece will look from sketches and CAD drawings alone, so, we are thrilled to announce a new advancement in our jewellery process.

We are now offering 3D jewellery modelling from CAD drawings, prior to having pieces custom made in our workshop.

This will give you an idea of how your final custom made piece will look and feel.

For example, if you are custom making a ring, we can create a 3D model of your ring as per your CAD drawings so that you can wear it to see how it fits and looks prior to creation.

We are incredibly excited to offer our clients this service and we look forward to seeing you soon with your custom made jewellery requests.
