Birthstone Engagement Rings

Birthstone Engagement Rings

Coloured stones are one of our weaknesses, so we were SO happy to hear that birthstone engagement rings are one of the top jewellery trends for 2019.

There is no denying it, particular gemstones have a special appeal and we are naturally drawn to them depending on their colour, meaning and je ne sais quoi.

Birthstone engagement rings add another element that make them perfect for brides and grooms who prefer a non-traditional engagement ring but want to showcase their personality through their engagement ring.

We feature birthstones every month on our Brinkhaus blog. Here is a summary of birthstones by month and a little bit about each of them:

January Birthstone: Garnet – is said to protect one from nightmares and to safeguard travellers

February Birthstone: Amethyst - it is said to purify the mind and clear negative thoughts. It is associated with trust, intuition and spirituality.

March Birthstone: Aquamarine - helps overcome the fear of speaking, accelerates the intellectual reasoning process and enhances the ability for rapid response.

April Birthstone: Diamond - in addition to being a symbol of everlasting love, it was once thought to bring courage.

May Birthstone: Emerald - has long been associated with fertility, rebirth, and love

June Birthstone: Pearl - has long been a symbol of purity.

July Birthstone: Ruby - symbolises love and passion.

August Birthstone: Peridot – is said to promote abundance, prosperity and happiness, wealth and wellbeing into your life.
